about

Drifters is a summer inspired indie-dance song that combines analog, acoustic, and electronic elements. It's rich in both texture and melody. Drifters tells the story of a traveler struggling to find the next direction to go, but unwavering in his dedication to keep moving forward even as his journey leads him into increasingly difficult circumstances. This is a collaboration between Go Periscope from Seattle, Washington and John Mode from Stockholm, Sweden.

lyrics

It’s a long and a lonely road
I’ve been lost but I soldier on, yeah
If the falls gonna break me, you can blame me down
And it’s all close to ending, but I’m closer now

Pick me up again
You gotta pull me, you gotta hold me
Falling down again
You’re gonna let me, go on and send my love
Go on and send my love

CHORUS INSTRUMENTAL

It’s long and all lined with ghosts
You can leave but I’ll keep my soul, yeah
If the falls gonna break me, you can blame me down
And it’s all close to ending, but I’m closer now

Pick me up again
You gotta pull me, you gotta hold me
Falling down again
You’re gonna let me, go on and send my love

CHORUS INSTRUMENTAL

Where do I go
Where do I go now
Where do I go
Where do I go
